Here at Global Grind, we focus so much on great music collaborations, we overlook something just as important; Great fashion collaborations. We’re going to take a look at some of the past and present hottest fashion collaborations between celebrities and the fashion world.
10. RIHANNA

Everyone knows that Ms. Rih Rih is a fashion icon. At the age of 22, girl went from baggy jeans and tight tube tops to high-end designer luxury. In late 2008, she helped Gucci design a limited edition line of bags in support of UNICEF, and starred in the campaign.

9. GWEN STEFANI

This “Hollaback Girl” had originality and style from the beginning. The only girl who could rock a Versace dress and flaming red hair at the same time, and everyone wanted to emulate her style. She started up LAMB in 2004, with the idea of provided cool clothes for cool girls, and has been a success ever since.

Ronson, uber music producer to the stars, is a stylish fixture on the New York social scene. So it was no surprise when this uber-producer hooked up with luxury brand to the stars Gucci to design a limited line of sneakers that matched his cool personality.

7. SEAN “DIDDY” COMBS

Call him a mogul, an entrepreneur, or one of his many names he has had over the years. But one thing that is consistent is that he can be called stylish. Diddy started Sean John back in 1998, and was seen a forerunner in urban streetwear. And as Diddy’s style has grown and evolved, so has his namesake brand.

6. PHARRELL WILLIAMS

Pharrell started the cool kids movement. From his style to his music, he made being different not only acceptable, but desirable. He partnered up with Louis Vuitton in 2008 to design a line of jewerly and sunglasses for the luxury fashion house. He fronts brands like Billionaire Boys Club, Ice Cream sneakers, and BAPE.

5. VICTORIA BECKHAM

Victoria Beckham went from worldwide popstar to worldwide fashion icon. She collaborated with denim brand extraordinaire Rock & Republic for her own line of jeans, and now has a new namesake collecton of dresses that are sold at upscale retailers like Nieman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

4. LINDSAY LOHAN

She’s more known now for her erratic public behavior, but people forget la lohan has a legit fashion career under her belt. She starred in a Miu Miu campaign in early 2007, and has a line of chic leggings sold at New York retailer Henri Bendels. We’re rooting for Lindsay to get her act together.

Kanye West is the self proclaimed Louis Vuitton don. ‘Ye has since designed sneakers for the luxury fashion house, modeled for his friend pharrell’s line, and was planning to come out with his own clothing line. Good *ss Job Mr. West!

The pint-sized Olsen twins have big style. There boho-chic look created a movement with fashionable young women everywhere. Their two clothing lines, The Row and Elizabeth & James are a hit with models, editors, and the everyday fashionista.

The Singer has collaborated with discount fashion emporium H&M for a line of everyday fashion, Modeled for major fashion houses like Louis Vuitton, and Versace, and is currently the face of Dolce & Gabanna, where she is also designing a limited edition pair of sunglasses.
